It looks as if the penny has dropped with the toreys and they will move on the no confidence vote. Its difficult to see how the speaker will survive that. But he's either a lame duck, or labours patsy after the next election.

A interesting aspect was mentioned - it's not clear if it has any relevance to a speaker; Also some doubt about what could be used to remove a speaker. A comment by some so could be true or false.
The petition count indicates a split in the Tories. Penny seems to have shifted to just blaming Labour. She represents the Tory element that is in power. One Tory MP said he would fight like hell to prevent the speaker from being removed.
The real problem is the SNP and words not helped by the Tory walking out as well. LOL There is talk of a repeat.
