Now that we have extended our house, we have told our insurance company but is it our responsibility to tell the council???
We had to apply to them for permission to extend in the first place but what happens regarding upping the band and would simply making the house larger up the band do you think?

once your building ext was allowed , your deeds are changed an the council will up the band automatically if you have extended it to a greater degree ,half house extention say ..:)

thanks moz..
When we did the extension, we first knocked down some existing out buildings and the new bit doesnt stick out much beyond those, so Im hoping that it will stay the same.

the houses near me havent been sold recently enough to show on there but house prices are scary moz.
I hear work mates saying what their mortgage is for their first house and its unbelievable.
No way could I buy my house now if I was starting from scratch.
