I was just in my daughter's built in wardrobe and noticed this stain on the wall in one of the cubby holes.

Its an external wall and the bungalow is 7 yrs old.

Any ideas what it could be? It's about 5 inches square and doesn't feel damp. She had teddies stored there.

I've just painted over it with emulsion.

Thanks

Most likely condensation formed on the wall.
Does the wall feel cold?
Any pipes on the outside?
It did feel a bit cold. No pipes on outside.
Could it be due to a pile of teddies against the wall maybe preventing air flow?

Yes moisture from bad day to day habits can get trapped in unventilated areas.

Which emulsion did you use? When did you paint it?
I just painted it tonight after I took the photo and used Armstead Trade contract matt that the builders left as that's what was used originally. I'm not sure if it'll bleed through. If it does should I use a stain blocker like zinsser bin?

Thanks
