Some of the stuff from thst period isn't too bad. We've been watching "Hill Street Blues" recently, including the two and a half final series which we could never receive where we now live

Yeah quite a lot of the stuff is watchable. Some of it (production wise) feels quite slow compared to today's stuff with longer silences and gaps where not much happens. However that can sometimes be preferable to the non stop choppy camera stuff produced nowadays.

The closing scene was nearly always a joy to watch (certainly in the earlier ones) when the perpetrator realised the game was up.
