The picture was taken from inside my house looking through the window - so yes its pointing directly in to my house. There is another one further along which shines in to our upstairs bedroom.
Flood lights should be fitted at high level pointing down ...with a separate sensor at a lower level , looks like a cheap quick fix all in one unit with no adjustment..
