Stopping damp in rubble stone wall resting on rock

No matter whats material is on your interior wall(s) its allowing damp to come through - it must be replaced with S&L render - render thats not in floor contact.



Excavating outside will do nothing for the interior damp damage thats already showing.

Not the best tools for a DIY'er to learn on but the best tool for rock cutting would be a large corded disc cutter - but given that the depth needed would be approx 300mm, the disc cutter would only go so deep - its then a case of jack hammering.
You can cut alot deeper than 300mm with a diamond blade with the right piece of equipment, diamond track saw, diamond plunge saw, diamond floor saw, wire saw etc
