without appearing nasty/funny with you, my friend ......;)

I have heard *this an that* an tbh ....
its all down to your own personal mindset at the time an once you do a week off the bevy thats the tester , not buzzwords .....
You can be as nasty as you like Moz, it doesn't change the underlying situation which is that you have a problem; I'm offering a suggestion, not a solution.

*as moz snaps open that 15th stella pint can ,lol*

Wendies at her mothers tonight .....so Im drinking the house dry for a another crack this week ;)
Hm. I'm gonna have to you leave you to it tonight Moz. Not because I don't care, but because I do.

Yes we are, my dear fellow, and we need some willpower to help us out of these tight spots!

It was hard for me. I started drinking in my teens & came into some money in 1983 - about £500. I spent it all on going down the pub - The Liz on Heaton Moor Road as it happens!

I would have 8-10 pints of lager every night, followed by a few whiskeys , fags, cigars and topped off with a sweet & sour pork on the way home. (I wasn't veggie then!)

Every morning I would wake up feeling like 5h, invariably with a few tell-tale pools of variously coloured bodily fluids.

One morning I woke up, looked in the mirror at this 18 yo with his shirt covered in vomit & decided to do something about it.

I so infrequently drink now I haven't had one in 6 months or maybe a bit more!!

As for fags, I gave up in April 1994 and have not had a single cigarette or cigar since.

Trust me Moz, you may not like what I say, but life is BETTER without the demon drink!

You can see in your Mother that it is not a good thing, can't you?

Get your head together with Wendy & kick it into touch!

It may be now, but was better in 1983.. Or at least it was to my drunken eyeballs!!

The Crown is better. But The Griff on Didsbury Road is better still. And cheap! Used to live right opposite there, behind the trees... My mates used to say they could kill for my house!

Heaton Mersey is only sought after now because Heaton Moor is so inaccessible price-wise. I wasn't as rich as you think I am. Bought in 1991 for 63K, I sold Didsbury Road in 1999 for 74K. What's it worth now?

I don't know.

Anyway, happy in 5 bed det. in Bramhall now. Bought in 1999 for 143K and now worth 350-400K. However, that's no use when you have to buy & sell in the same market.

There's another story: Our house was built by Gordon Emery. We wanted another Emery house on Buck Road West in HM. However, it had only 4 beds & was smaller all round than the one we bought in Bramhall. The price of the Buck Road West house in May 1999? £180K....

How can you buy a bigger & better house in Bramhall (SK7 1) for nearly 40K less than an inferior house in Heaton Moor???

Missus used to go in Griff for a Cluck Curry at lunchtime when she was pregnant with first - concieved at that house!
