Hi all,
I recently brought and moved into my first house and I’m having some trouble with the heating system. I was wondering if anyone could help me diagnose the issue. The heating system consists of a Glow Worm Ultimate 50 FF boiler controlled via a SUNVIC select 207XL programmer.
The boiler will happily heat water and the CH pump will happily pump water through all the rads but it won’t switch both the pump and boiler on at the same time. I’ve tried switching on the CH first then the boiler and vis-versa but it refuses to attempt to light the pilot. When it was working it was necessary to turn on both the HW and CH in order for the CH to work.
From my very limited knowledge of such things I’m guessing it’s either the programmer or a control valve? I’m happy to swap the programmer if its faulty but the valve is probably a plumber job for me. Is there an easy way that I can determine what the fault is to save me calling someone out?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim
