If its unvented:
1. I wouldn't replace with a motor on - motor off valve, they are not fail safe.
2. You shouldn't be working on it as you need a G3 qualification to do anything which affects the safety features, and that valve does.
It turns out that the issue was with the brass valve that the Sunvic controls! I lifted up the Sunvic, quirted the valve with WD40, used pliers to turn it until it was free to move, put the Sunvic back on and now the Sunvic is quiet and is able to operate the value as it should.
