Surface mounted gas box hinges other than pin type

We have a surface mounted gas box and its been missing its hinges and lock since we moved in. The previous owners also painted it and wedged it shut with a piece of plastic

I ordered a kit online to fix it, the lock fits great but the hinges don't seem to be the right sort. When I search online all I get is the pin type hinges, but I think the ones I need must be a different style.

Im guessing it's quite an old box but does anyone know what type of hinge it needs?

It doesn't have a hinge as such, that is how it hinges.

Yes, that's exacly the same as mine. The two lugs at the bottom hold it in position and function as the hinge.

mk 1 surface box cost about 50 quid for new cover
but just use cable ties through the hinge bit on door and the bit on the box

Thanks, will use cable ties till I can get a new box.

Just buy a couple of plastic hinges for it
