Just moved into a property that has a downstairs extension with lean to roof and 3 X velux windows. Is also has 4 x bifold doors at the back.
Have noticed with the room itself its ALWAYS very cold, even with 2 large radiators its usually about 5 degrees cooler there than the rest of the house - so I've been trying to work out why - could the builders have skimped on insulation?
Have seen this morning this is how the frost on the roof is thawing out - bear in mind other roofs around still have full frost on then, so seems to indicate the roof isn't properly insulated around the Velux's? Thoughts or theory's on this please? Was considering getting a heat loss survey to try and pinpoint the issue.
