Swap socket and blanking plate over

Interesting to see earth straps on the price list, 31 years before earthing in lighting circuits became mandatory.

It would be interesting to see the mechanics of the contacts in the intermediate switch.
Tumbler switches were either Underslung or Overslung, AFAICR the intermediate was both!
Might be wrong it was a long ,long time ago.
The intermediates I remember were a bit bigger than the 1W, 2W & DP (the same size as the 2G version) and were a 2p2w switch with 6 terminals although 2terminals were blank (not drilled to receive a wire) and linked to 2 others with brass strips.

For the person who sent a PM about such 2G switches not existing:

... £2 for a dozen phew. ...
That struck me, too. If I recall correctly (from what I've read, not personal experience :) ), £2 would probably have been more than a week's average income in 1935 !

Kind Regards John

... Used to reverse the polarity of a battery when I was about 8 playing with batteries and bulbs..
In the mid 60's I similarly used something like that for reversing the polarity of supply to 'surplus' ex-aircraft motors (prop pitch motors and cowl gill motors) which I used to rotate antenna (aka scaffold :) ) poles!

Kind Regards, John
