Swapping part 1 for part 2 float valve

Is it possible to swap this part 1 float valve for a part 2? By splitting the valve, leaving the tail in the tank. Thanks

Usually, yes, sometimes older models may have a different thread, you,ll soon see when you dismantle it.

Thanks if done similar and swapped part 1s for part 1s. Just thought a part 2 would be better and hopefully use the same technique

The over height is 140mm from the bottom of the tank. So is quiet low. It's usually recommended the cold hight of the cistern is 75mm below the overflow flow height?
