Where are blightymam and ceres moaning about the constant one-sided personal posts from someone who doesn't know "when too much really is too much"?
Ahh, of course when it's an opinion with which they agree, it's never too much.
BTW, during the Vietnamese and Cambodian crises, there were about 3,000,000 refugees. But they were mainly contained within the far eastern area. Again hundreds of thousands may have died in the escape attempt.
(Incidentally, UK accepted less than 20,000 of these, France accepted nearly 100,000.)
Migration, if you see it as a problem, is not a new problem. Sadly violence is a problem and is not a new problem. Blaming this or that faction does not help. It's a problem associated with humans, and always has been.
The violence now being experienced in the middle east is partly the fault of western interference, as was the violence in the far east many years ago.
Mankind refuses to learn from history. In the meantime the petty minded blame the victims.
