I've never had a problem with those that integrate and contribute Himmy - I know many, as I'm sure you do.
However (imo) enough is enough now. Our infrastructure is already stretched to the limit and we need to start looking after our own.

Fair comment, based on your opinion. Nowt wrong with that.

However, to deny the most vulnerable, and perhaps the most damaged of the migrants, based on some supposition of their vague dishonesty is very unfair.
In some cultures the precise DOB is simply not known because the strict infrastructure that we expect and have become accustomed to, does not exist and usually there is no process for registering births, most especially during times of war and crisis.
If you examine some DOBs on many, more established, migrants' documentation they are dates like 01/01/?? simply because, on their arrival they did not know and could not give a DOB.
Obviously the question marks are actual figures, but sometimes guess work.

Incidentally, AFAIAA, these imaginary DOBs are a point of hilarity amongst established migrants.

There seems to be an abundance of lies / deceit / selective reporting / cover ups...

Re the "children". How do we know it's not just another way some of the refugees have found of getting in somewhere faster and easier?, and once the children are in, they miraculously remember where the parents are and they should then also be allowed in to reunite? - I really don't know anymore.

But you can't deny all the vulnerable damaged asylum seekers based on the suspicion that there maybe a way of a few of them exploiting the process.
Surely the answer lies in some other process, not simply "leave the vulnerable to their own (or someone else's) devices."

Anyone who has experienced the horrors that some of these children have suffered would understand that parents will willingly shove their children into strangers' arms if they think it will save their children.

The worker herself was an immigrant, of only a couple of months ago, doing her best for other migrants.
Other asylum seekers came to her aid and overpowered her attacker.
