Because it outperforms that superannuated, agricultural heap of junk you keep prattling on about - if it is so good, why did Makita (a company, incidentally, noted for keeping "solid" products going for many decades in some cases, e.g. the 1100 power planer) drop the LS1013 and its' bigger sibling the LS1214 from production? The performance and accuracy of the Kapex over most other saws is why pretty much everyone you come across in interior fit-out or kitchen fitting either has one, or wants one. Those who haven't gone the Kapex route often have a DW717XPS - another saw with some well-engineered features which you no doubt denigrate as well.
Funny. I though the OP was talking about the Evolution Rage SCMS which is advertised as cutting metal and wood - not the Rage metal chop saw which woukd be unsuitable for woodwork. Seems to me that you've possibly missed the point there - none of use were talking about metal saws. Pay attention!
