Got a tado wireless V3 starter kit don't know if i will be fitting it myself as i don't usually involve myself doing stuff like this. So any advice would be appreciated i have a ecotec pro 28 combi boiler and i have looked at some stuff about fitting the tado but not to sure what i really need to do. The pictures are the controls i have in my hallway and the combi boiler is upstairs. So what do i need to do to rig this up ? Since i am going to be trying a wireless thermostat will the thermostat in the pictures need decommissioned and what happens with the electronic heating programmer ? And the tado wireless receiver does that need wiring to the combi boiler upstairs ?

I am sure i seen a video of someone just what looked like removing the electronic programmer and just wiring the tado wireless receiver to the existing wires the programmer is using ?

So if anyone has fitted one of these or has any input into what to do fitting one any help would be appreciated.

You could probably install the Tado in place of the Drayton programmer and either join the wires on existing thermostat or set to maximum and let Tado do the rest.

Do you mean probably just replace the Drayton programmer with the tado wireless receiver

Not sure what this means by joining the wires on existing thermostat joining them to what/where
Your existing stat is in a (serial) circuit with your controller.

Think of a light, having two switches, and they both must be on for the light to illuminate.

If we swap one of the switches (your LP111), for the Tado - we still need to do something with your existing stat (the other switch) to get the boiler to fire.

And there are three options:
1). Keep the stat turned up to max
2). Connect the wires up behind the stat (effectively keeping the switch permanently turned on)
Or, 3). removing the stat wiring completely - this will probably need some changes to the wiring behind the LP111.

If you feel up to it, you can post some photos of the wiring behind the LP111 and your existing thermostat (isolating the power before removing the cover!) and we can advise from there.

Thx for the replies hopefully i don't **** you off with all these questions trying to do some more reading about this so putting Drayton stat up to 30/max is that due to tado having a 25 limit on their stat ?
