a water balloon tossed out of a drivers window makes them back off..
I'm driving perfectly safely, it's the idiot behind that's too close.. if he was following at the required safe distance then the balloon wouldn't hit his vehicle would it?
actually, a well adjusted window washer jet can be just as effective..
I wonder if it would be illegal to fit one on the back aimed specifically at the right angle to hit anything too close?
Just drive as would you do normally, if you get chance take a turn off or pull into another lane if possible.....sorry for the serious answer

just to check, you are under the impression that the sign saying "60" or whatever indicates the minimum permissible speed? No reduction is allowable for blind corners, wobbly cyclists, poor weather, potholes, children on pavement, heavy traffic, narrow sections, obscured junctions, cars parked on both sides?the message is simple...get the f**k out of the way no matter how "right" you are. especially if you are under 55 on a 60 or are unable to keep within a 15mph differential on an A road.
