Tamperproof switched spur

No sorry, key as in panel type lock key.

Seen just spur or just secret key, but not both except, as you know, two made up grid bits.

As you proberly know fire equipment should not be switched off, there maybe something made for that use, may not be in white though.

Some years ago I bought a batch of a product called Switch Guard, a hinged white plastic cover with a self-adhesive base which can be fixed to an accessory. They prevent accidental switching, but leave the switch readily accessible. Obviously, they're not tamperproof, but quite useful for making people think twice before operating the switch.

Unlike the plastic guards designed to fit around plug tops to cover switches, they can be used on switched spurs and the like.

My Googling efforts to find a supplier have been fruitless, as there are so many different sorts of switch guards for different applications, all called switch guard.

I see they were made by that chap (or chapess) Pat Pending, responsible for so many useful inventions.

Anyway, RF, if you're interested and can let me have a postal address, I can send you one of my few remaining Switch Guards for you to try.

yes, I had a couple of them

but that reminds me:

those floor sockets with a metal flap over them - I wonder if you can get an FCU like that?
