Tanking for an electric shower connections

Just putting in a new shower and am ready to do the tanking but was wondering what is the best thing to do around the cold feed and the cable? just slather on plenty of the goup or some tape too?

where is you feed pipe mate, behind the shower, coming up the wall??

tile over unless it falls directly in the area that will be getting tanked, then tank it.
without a pic of the runs its hard to give you definate advice
 
The shower is mounted on a stud wall so the CW feed and cable are coming though the wall directly into the shower casing.

silicone around the pipe and cable, these electric shower units are often designed to have a slight gap behind them so water could potentially get in there
