I know he's a wind up merchant and I've no problem with that in the right place i.e. general discussion. The problem is when he tries to wind up posters by giving substandard advice - this undermines the section in which he posts. It's for this reason that I refer to him as an idiot.

EVERY manafacturer is going to say that their product is best.

what people here need is advice on what real people have used. impartial and real advice.

Mod 4, if you had half an idea about anything to do with tiling you'd realise that there's about 3 or 4 of the regulars on here that are trying to do your job and moderate the trash that certain members are writing. If you had the first clue about the topic in which you moderate you would know what's right and what's clearly misleading and sort these posts out yourself. All we're trying to do is ensure that the people that come on the forum get good advice. If you aren't prepared to moderate the trash posted by certain members, then surely you can't take issue when other people try and do so.
Would it not make sense to have moderators that know something about the subject matter they are moderating?
