Termination of SWA within consumer unit

Out of curiosity, would a gland like this be suitable?

Yes that is the most common way of fitting SWA to an enclosure and many on here seem to think it is the only way.

OP is concerned about distorting the enclosure with one.

A copper pipe cutter - the sort with the little scoring wheel and a knob to turn to adjust for size is fantastic to use for terminating SWA. Use it first to score the steel armour, then move it along a bit to cut around the black outer cover.

the secret is to disturb the steel spiral as little as possible -DAMHIK

The shroud is not an essential part, if fact in street furniture it seems to be a rare addition.

Where's a good place to find a multipack of PVC 3mm sleeving ? The usual merchants only sell each individual colour in 100metre packs and I only need enough to cover the tails of the SWA cable at the consumer end. I would rather sleeve the grey, brown and black with the correct green/yellow, brown, blue sleeves as appropriate. Alternatively, it'll have to be eBay.

It may very well be easier to buy a couple of rolls of PVC adhesive tape.

I do have one last query :

Which crimp terminal size and type would be best suited to these stranded cores ? If I recall there are 6 stands for every core of 2.5mm2 SWA.

I would like avoid chewing up the strands
