They are stealing from supermarkets & they don't care if anyone see's them or records them on cam.
It seems to be more systemic than that. Broken families, selfishness, loss of dignity, respect, patience etc - a "me" culture where we are so used to getting what we want, how we want, that any challenge to that can have violent repercussions.
