Well, like MOT tests, the 'pass' or in the case of a vote, the result is valid at the time of the test/vote. You just gotta accept it.
If you have a car that passes the test but on the way out of the station, it clips the kerb and damages the tyre, or blows a bulb, or runs out of washer fluid, or the windscreen gets hit by a stone, or a brake hose or wheel cylinder bursts or the power steering belt breaks or or or.... Does that mean the MOT is invalid? No. Same as a vote. Get over it.
