Purchased a new Elite 64W running v6.03 (in a kit - KIT-1001 64 Zone Wireless Kit) back in November 23 and only just got around to installing it.

I have followed the instructions in this very helpful video:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=XsnLYIqEFw4

1: Removed cover
2: Removed battery terminals
3: Ensured jumper JP7 was set correctly for 'Commision Mode'
4: Powered down unit
5: Fitted the keypad engineering cable to the 'Engineer REM' (Not either COM1 or COM2 above) and into the back of the keypad with its rear case removed
6: Powered up unit whilst pressing the 'Load defaults' button
7: Keypad reports DEFAULTING NVM on a countdown
8: Unit enters alarm mode after countdown, so the engineer code (1234) is entered to silence
9: 1234 entered again to prompt "Do you want to set Language"
10: Pressed 'yes' (tick) button which then prompted 'Language - English UK', presses yes again
11: 'Do you want to default Wireless' is prompted and yes is pressed
12: 'Engineer Utils Confirm Devices' is prompted and yes is pressed
13 Display reads
Net RKP>....
1 EXP>1.......

14: Yes is pressed which prompts 'Press YES again to confirm' which I do
15: Display reads 'Learn Ricohet Enabled Devices?' I press yes
16 Display reads
Learn Device?
Zone 009, N1,E1

17: I press yes and display reads: (and starts countdown from 20 to 0)
Power Up Device!
N1,E1,D01 -- 20s

18: I press the small square button on the door contact (also retried this by inserting battery into three PIRs) until the led flashes quickly, but instead of trurning green it turns red. (this exactly as per the video linked above other than his turn green)
19: The keypad (control unit) then fails to learn the device

I have noticed there are two TX and RX (Ricochet transmit / Recieve) LEDs on the board. I note that only the TX LED (red) flashes and never the green RX one.

I have also gone through the process of trying to LEARN the keypad as well but have no success.

I wonder If I have a faulty unit or am I missing something here?

Any help much appreciated.
Darren
