Really strange one... it's been a while since I installed a Texecom unit (and that was Veritas) but I've just installed a new Premier Elite 24 (wired) panel.

All zones are working, and I can set the system, but when the system alarms (when I fail to enter the user code on entry) but external bell siren does not sound. The strobe on the bell box does however, as does the internal keypad sounder of course.

When I test the Bell from the Engineer Utils on the keypad, both the bell and the strobe work respectively. When you remove the lid, the bell siren also sounds as it should for tamper.

What could cause the bell siren to not activate when the system goes in to alarm? All wiring must be correct if the Bell test works surely? As its a brand new install, there isn't some default setting I need to set to enable the bell siren is there? (can't imagine why)

i wonder if it has a period of internal alarm after entry time out

might be worth setting the alarm, and then triggering a different detector and seeing if the bell works

Would that still trigger the strobe even if the bell hasn't triggered?

As well as waiting for the entry timer to complete, I also tried walking in front of a PIR which is set.as immediate alarm without any timer...

Engineer code , scroll down to global , yes , to timers ,yes scroll down possibly second option down bell delay

What is say in the event log?
Most common reason for the bell not to sound after entry sounded and keypad is sounding is the second entry time.

Set that to zero and the bell should sound when first entry time expires.

Area options/ Area timers second Entry Time

Does the bell work on bell test???
