Hey - I'm hoping someone can maybe point me in the right direction with an issue I am facing please with a new install.

I have a Texecom Premier Elite 64W and have messed around with it lots over the last few years.
I am in the process of moving everything to a new panel and hard wiring sensors, adding smokes, and also adding some out buildings as their own areas.

I got a Premier Elite 640 nice and cheap - over kill but the price was good and I will be using expanders anyway to no issue with no onboard zones.

I have connected one expander with PSU which in turn connects to a keypad and have added a comip.

I have connected to the panel via usb and com cable, set up the comip and can then connect Wintex via the ip address. All good so far.

I then see that the expander and the keypad are not showing up as connected in winter - so I power cycle the psu for the expander - wintex is knocked off line and when I try to reconnect that "The udl password or panel type of your control panel does not match with your account profile".

I can do a restore defaults and replicate this behaviour - the same occurs if assigning areas to the expander and keypad slots in wintex. The expander and keypad are in a detached garage with the connecting cable less than 30m in length.

Before I go crazy is there anything obvious I am doing wrong here. I'm not even sure what my double shooting steps need to be - I guess try to connect the expander without the keypad, and vice versa and see what happens. Try a different expander or a different network (these were on network 2).

I'm desperately hoping someone has seen similar and can quickly put their finger on a quirk I need to consider. I thought the cable chasing and the trenches between budiligns was going to be the hard bit - didn't expect to fall at the first hurdle setting up the panel with just a test for one area.

Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for taking the time to read and hopefully share your thoughts.

This forum has been a great resource for me and has taught me so much by reading other posts and advice and has helped me with all my planning and design and technical issues in the past.

After a day of trouble shooting it looks like the expander is the issue. It is a 8xp in and enclosure with a psu200 and when connected it makes the keypad unresponsive wherever it is connected and eventually causes a udl error. I have tried without the expander and the keypad works fine. I have tried with a seperate expander powered by the panel and everything works fine. So it seems like a have a crappy expander.

Hmmm

Interesting a udl lockout refers alledgedly to the likes of wintex or cloud connecting to the panel and the udl passcode not matching.

Wrt to seeing this with the expander and the keypad dropping out on a psu 200.

I think we need to look into this a little more,

How is it wired to the network via the psu 200.

So if you have the power going to the expander by the fly lead have you disconnected the positive on network in?
