Hi there,

I’m after some help regarding my alarm.

Currently, my sounders and strobe do not work when activated via the programming route (the engineer code followed by 05 - page 19 on the manual). When I plug in the battery and power, I can hear the external sounder go off but the strobe does not flash at all. I’m not sure whether this is relevant, but out of the mini two blue lights that flash constantly, the left works but the right light never flashes.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Not sure what sounder you have but the Texecom Odyssey sounders have a “Hold Off” feature, I think the left LED only flashing indicates “Hold Off Active, Tamper Circuit Open”

I think I’ve tried that already - no luck annoyingly. But thank you

Who’s wired that … ? You can’t wire the tampers in together , they need to be wired in series…
Take the green strobe wire out and put it in the terminal with the black wire 0v ….go outside and see if the strobe is flashing give it a minute to charge up ….if it’s not flashing then either ….its faulty or it’s not wired correctly at the bellbox

Me, haha it’s my first time so you’ll have to excuse any stupid mistakes. I followed the manual and it got me here. I tried the black and green wire swap around but that doesn’t work.

For the tampers, if I wired them in series, would I require a bridge of some sort that would feed into the neck (Tamper)?

Global tamper should be connected as attached drawing from Texecom manual, use either a connector block or gel connectors.
It should be one continuous loop so that a break anywhere will trigger an open circuit tamper alarm.

I didn’t say swap around ….put the green in the 0v terminal ….this should make the strobe flash ….if not check wiring at the bell box ….did you also wire that ? Lol
