We should know in the next few days if the demonstrations have caused a rise in covid-19 cases, if there is a rise we know social distancing is required, if not we can all go back to normal live, I think the demonstrators were stupid risking their lives, but that's how natural selection works. I also think they should have been at least fined for breaking covid-19 rules, maybe they were? So police should know who they all are and so can monitor the results.

No rise in covid-19 deaths will show social distancing is no longer required.

Anyone that takes a child on one of these protests marches should have a visit from social services too. There’ll be another test today.

Kids are low risk - Not many under 15s have died from CoViD without serious underlying health issues. Not great for the teachers who have to teach them though.

I also think transmission is less likely outside. It will be interesting for sure to see what happens but I can't think that social distancing inside can be stopped just yet regardless.

It will be interesting but it will be another fortnight before we know - any changes in behaviour regarding Covid need at least three weeks before the outcome can be assessed. May be even longer in this case as the protesters were younger and they will be less symptomatic, however they will pass the virus on to older more vulnerable members of their own family and it won't be until they present that we will know how reckless (regarding covid) these protests have been.

And if there is another major outbreak and the economy, whats left of it, has to shut down again, it will be years before we know the full cost of what these selfish anti british demonstrations have been.

And the blame game starts

no doubt Trump, Johnson and all right wing supporters will be trotting this out.

Not low risk of being trampled by a horse or having a bike hit them...

so if there is another outbreak that is directly related back to these protests and we all have to go back into stricter lockdown, who will we blame?

I'm with you on the Cummings incident and Boris's inability to sack him, that was a disgraceful very bad president to set. But these protests are way beyond that in directly risking the lives and well being of everybody in the UK, the protesters will need to carry that responsibility on their shoulders.

But of course who's to say the government have scrapped their original plan to fight the virus. Make out their outraged by demonstration yet rubbing their hands as its just helping the theory of herd immunity..

A week from now Liverpool could win the PL by beating their closest neighbour Everton across Stanley Park. Beer, fights cuddles and sex will be the real telling point.

yeah -right wing governments like Trump and Johnson have seen the worst CV19 death rates in the world but its all the fault of black people protesting.

I wonder what the ethnicity is of many of our essential workers: bus drivers, cleaners, carer, nurses etc etc.........
