Thank you to George Floyd demonstrators for testing social distancing.

What I said was,

"violently rioting, attacking the Police, stomping on Police vehicles."

Yep, that's Yaxley-Lennon for you.

In his case, it was a policeman's head rather than his car.

The thing to bear in mind is that the "trouble" is only caused by very few people. The problem ones and I see that as something the communities should think about.

Reminds me of a couple of things.

An irish lad I knew in my teens. Bumped into him sometime later. He did have a period working for a tarmacer. Money good but gave it up as they rip people of and give the Irish a bad name. He wasn't kidding. Some time ago but B'ham Council got so fed up with it they did it for people - charged of course but unlike the usual Irish ones even used fresh tarmac. Stuff that has part gone of is more or less given away.

Another but different when passports became a bit more difficult to get. Vetted at the post office by an Asian lady in her 20's, westernised. I passed a comment about the new checks and she said it serves them right. It's their own fault. Leave you to figure out what I thought about that but clearly a problem that causes certain other things to happen.

I'm still not following. So this person was at the Brixton street party a few days ago and assaulted a policeman? I didn't see that reported - perhaps you could post a link to the incident please?

I didn't say that.

Yes, among his various crimes.

I think I see your problem.

You're only interested in crimes that occurred in specific places at specific times.

I didn't say he was there, I asked if he was as I was unaware of him or his involvement. I'm interested at this time in mass events that breach Coronavirus restrictions. I have, in previous threads, condemned them all. I have particular contempt for those events that put the Police and emergency services more at risk than they already are. And I don't believe that violence is ever warranted no matter how worthy you might consider your 'cause' to be.

sometimes protests are needed to bring about change.

peaceful means dont always work when the status quo prevents change.

sometimes protest, even violent protest is warranted even if it should not be condoned.

Violence in any form is never warranted. Not ever.

And if you can't make your point peacefully, it's probably a point that isn't worth making at all.

easy for you say from your comfortable life in this country.

if youve suffered persecution, you would feel differently.

So every one at these things were violent ? Get real. Does every one of some group carry knives? Does every one of some group use or sell drugs?

Idiots but in all probability just like arguing pointlessly.

The violent protestors on the streets over the last few weeks would not know persecution if it bit them on the backside.
