- we do not know if she is guilty of wrong doing.
- we do know that she claimed not to be involved in her Aunt's politics and she's been exposed.

I am aware of the principle ("bad optics"); however, as I was not aware of the nature of the allegations, I was not going to disappear down a rabbit hole of whataboutery / what-iffery.
