On the subject of false narratives, are there any stats relating to the number of false narratives broadcast by the BBC.

Why hasn't Martin Bashir been stripped of his award and sacked by the BBC.

Further revelations about MB have come out.
He used dodgy documents which led to Terry Venables getting the sack.
He also lied in order to get an interview with Michael Jackson.

Maybe because MB hasn't actually been proved to have done anything....yet.
If an investigation proves that he lied, or falsified information then fair enough
Apparently he is ill but also apparently he's been spotted shopping etc

But you shouldn't ever remove awards/honours just because of a newspaper story

Well I do read the Mail now and again, along with all the other papers at various times.

In order to castigate a paper you need to keep up with its content.
