What’s that got to do with the USA ? Make some sense please.Poor dumb Brexiteer.
The EU countries are having a laugh why shiould they want to cooperate when we decided to tell them to f off with Brexit.
We created this mess.
There's more to the economy than a fresh intake of immigrants who mostly contribute to the economy. It's a small percentage of illegals in the Black Economy who're highlighted on GBNews.
Misguided. At bestTorpedos would save lives. Take out one boat, save countless more taking stupid risks for the massive rewards the do-gooders offer them.
I'm joking, but my point stands - no need to kill anyone, but we incentivise them, remove the incentive and they wouldn't do it.
Stop the RNLI taxi service too, together with the frogs' navy escort to the halfway line. And stop giving the cheese-eating surrender monkeys our money, spend it ourselves on defending our cost line. With torpedos.

Likewise, we might need to migrate!I've said in other threads and possibly this one, we ain't seen nothing yet re folk wanting to come to this country via formal routes or otherwise. One of the biggies might be climate migrants. Regardless of anyone's views on global warming and what's causing it, if projected changes come to pass re global temps, droughts etc, in years/decades to come the globe will see millions upon millions of people migrating from their homeland. It could (or very likely will) be the case that many countries will need to significantly review their policies around this.
Of course it's right to say we should have the infrastructure and human resource in place to process immigrants more efficiently, however to assume this will mean an increased number being 'sent back' is surely to be misinformed. Of those with asylum claims, I think over 70% are approved? So unless the criteria change, we'll still see more people coming in.
It's an interesting point. Fast forward a few decades and I suspect none of us can imagine what will possibly (probably?) be happening re migration of people.Likewise, we might need to migrate!
Cost of living, food shortages, war with Russia, energy shortages / high demand, decking economy... we're all assuming that things will get better rather than worse...
Yep. This is the biggest problem. Climate change is going to mess up food supply chains and major population settlements will experience flooding - the two biggest causes of migration after war. But with half the world refusing to believe it (because they don't want to spend their money dealing with it) it will just be a disaster when it finally hits properly. It's an interesting point. Fast forward a few decades and I suspect none of us can imagine what will possibly (probably?) be happening re migration of people.
It's already happening. Lots of young intelligent and skilled people are migrating to more pleasant countries where they can actually afford to buy a house and live like a normal person instead of renting from a slumlord in overcrowded rip-off Britain.Likewise, we might need to migrate!

No you're not, you asked me, and I answered that it was going great, thanks!Exactly, what attracted people to this country years ago has been sacrificed on the alter of multi culturism.
When I ask is multi culturism working on here I'm met with a deathly silence
Ask five different folk (from different areas of the country and from different backgrounds) and you'd likely get five different answers. For an individual to answer this, they are consciously and subconsciously taking into account various factors that directly and/or indirectly affect them. As with answering any question I suppose.Exactly, what attracted people to this country years ago has been sacrificed on the alter of multi culturism.

A honest appraisal and the last paragraph is very realistic.Ask five different folk (from different areas of the country and from different backgrounds) and you'd likely get five different answers. For an individual to answer this, they are consciously and subconsciously taking into account various factors that directly and/or indirectly affect them. As with answering any question I suppose.
And remember, although it's in the past, Britain thought it acceptable to travel the world and essentially force various things (religious beliefs, language etc) on the indigenous people of those countries. To this day people will assert 'well, it was better for them in the long run!' how do we know? We can't quantify for example how Australia would have developed as a nation if the dominant people were still the Aboriginals.
The horse on 'getting Britain back to the way it was', whatever that actually is, has well and truly bolted. You can call that view apathetic if you like, I call it being a realist.
