...the next round of cuts look likely to cut deeper still.

Rachel Reeves will announce the biggest spending cuts since austerity at next week’s spring statement after ruling out tax rises as a way to close her budget deficit. The chancellor will tell MPs next Wednesday that she intends to cut Whitehall budgets by billions of pounds more than previously expected in a move which could mean reductions of as much as 7% for certain departments over the next four years.

Economists say the cuts will harm key public services, despite Labour’s promises to undo years of decline under the Conservatives. They will be announced a week after ministers unveiled about £5bn worth of cuts to benefit payments, most of which are going from payments to disabled people. Analysis by the Resolution Foundation thinktank has found that some disabled people could lose nearly £10,000 a year in benefits by the end of the decade under the reforms announced on Tuesday.

Labour need to tax wealth not the diasabled

Although the media are not portraying the proposed changes correctly

The British economy has struggled since last year’s budget however, with borrowing costs having risen and growth proving more sluggish than expected. Labour has blamed global turmoil for the economic malaise, but the Conservatives say it is a result of the major tax hike Reeves imposed on businesses last November.

Which is it?

remember for 14 years labour kept saying they would tax big business who were not paying their fair share and that would sort everything out .
Still nothing
lets just attack the weaker parts of society

The Garundia also reports...Plans announced on Tuesday will see 1 million ill and disabled people directly lose personal independence payments (Pip) worth between £4,2oo and £6,300 each, with hundreds of thousands more losing incapacity benefits.

Why do Labour always turn into a Tory-lite cabinet when they get their feet under the table at #10?
Rotten to the core, riddled with woodworm and only propped up by their donors who supported them in the rush to replace Rish! Politico show Reform are only one point behind them in polling and these measures are sure to drive more voters into their perfidious grasp, so unless he's got a magic sponge to cure their ailing migrant plans he'll be making trouble for himself and the party further down the road.

Labour. They’ve made everyone nervous since they came to power. Housing market has slowed down (apart from the mini rush to beat the stamp duty rise), borrowing has slowed down, businesses have started shedding employees and put a halt on recruitment thanks to the N.I. Changes. Too much uncertainty and a loss of confidence all round with the high probability of more cuts in spending and tax rises to come. We offloaded our workshop a few weeks ago in this financial year as we suspect more bad news will come during this governments term with regards to business rates and capital gains taxes. I personally know of two other businesses that have either shut up shop or laid off employees through concerns over this governments actions and intentions. They’ve just had enough.

TAX THE RICH, TAX THE RICH, TAX THE RICH!!!

The mantra from those who don't want to work and think the state owes them a comfortable existence. And no, I'm not referring to those who are evidently in need of ongoing support.

I'm sure the venom would only subside if the government announced plans to tax 'the rich' at 99p in the pound for any savings/investments they have over a million.
