The Irish border smokescreen

We have yet to sort out the Border issue of Spain and Gibraltar, 98% of Gibraltarians voted to stay in the EU for freedom of movement and allied to this Country, Well it seems they cannot have both,
Do we hand over Gib to Spain or create a border , No one wants to talk about that problem .
And Brexiteers dumbly seem to have misunderstood the fact that a single EU country (such as Spain) can veto any deal...

So 'the rock' may well also, as you intimate, have to choose between it's loyalty to a declining nation or the trading block it relies on for it's economic future!

(Unless of course the brexiteers can 'persuade' them (lie to them) that they can shake even more dosh from that imaginary money tree of theirs  )

Would we be prepared to give up Gib, it is of Strategic importance to the security of this Country also it is a primary "off shore banking economy" that this Country relies on . ( Far more important than Ireland but not so close)

No ones going to read that
Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to long
Sorry if it's too complicated for you - the facts usually are.

And as you've shown regularly, comprehension (in both senses of the word) is way beyond you!

That surely would be up to the 'will of the people' in Gibraltar, wouldn't it?

Although in the 2016 advisory referendum their votes were simply slung in to the 'South West England regional count' for convenience, so it'll simply end up being a political football for the benefit of the tory party - again!

They can vote to become part of Spain

They can vote to become part of Spain
Not unless they vote for independence first!

And that would rely on the acquiescence of Westminster...

Can't see brexiteers going for it though, even though they didn't give a monkeys about it at referendum time!

That's better
Note to self.

Keep it simple for Bodd in the hope that it can hopefully keep up!

The channel islands were not included in the South West England regional count , Why ?
The Gibraltarians have put their verdict forward They want to stay in the EU, Do we s**t on them and say they must be part of the UK , Spain have said they want full control of Gibs Airport to stop illegals entering Spain .
Once that problem has been solved , there is the problem of the Falkland Isles, ( although they did not vote)their main economy at the moment is fishing and they export a certain type of fish soley to Spain once Tariffs are put on the import of the fish that means the Falkland Islands ecomony will have to be subsidised by this Country , or are we going to S**t on them as well .
There is more to Brexit than anyone ever thought there would be .

Can you see that red tape ?? They have used it to draw the border south to North. That's good recycling

"The EU and Ireland both insist Britain's withdrawal treaty must lock in a backstop arrangement guaranteeing Northern Ireland will abide by EU regulations in case a future trade pact does not remove the need for border controls.

Britain has signed up to this, but has rejected the EU's interpretation of what the backstop means."

Remember that RoI has a veto on the UK/EU deal. As does the UK Parliament. Time for this farce to end.

Brexit Omnishambles.

I don't get this. Why would we have to subsidise ? Would the Spanish not just pay more for their fish?
