The May deal

Here's the Draft Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community, as agreed at negotiators' level on 14 November 2018: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/sites/beta-political/files/draft_withdrawal_agreement_0.pdf

It's 585 pages long.

I've not read it. Not many people have, or will.

So, what are we discussing again?

There's a reason the politicians have 2 weeks before they vote. As much as I dislike and distrust most of them, I'm happy for them to sort this one out, I have a bedroom to renovate.

True. About 107,000 words. About the same length as JK Rowling's Prisoner of Azkaban. An afternoon's read.

What would the EU have done if:
- we'd set up trade deals ready to go with the US and other nations in defiance of EU rules?
- If we stuck to no settlement without a trade deal?
- If we literally said come and have a go if you think you are hard enough?
- If we started restricting govt contracts to new 'friends' and excluded EU firms due to Brexit?

We should have started by focusing our energy on the rest of world not negotiating "Parole" with the EU.

Agree - so crazy to start Article 50, until we had a plan.
Then the chaos of a No Deal would already be upon us without any opportunity for preparation, or desire for cooperation from EU.
I suspect many more EU citizens would be heading back leaving important jobs unfilled, much displeasure about the scarcity of medicines etc, much displeasure about the hold-ups at ports etc, much displeasure about the lack of available flights, etc, much more tension due to lack of cooperation on security etc.

Your idea sounds like bravado, but is really more like anarchy.

The May Deal.

I read it as the Meal Deal. :ROFLMAO:

It's a bargain - customs union + free movement + no say all for the bargain price of £39bn

Yes, brexit means brexit. So no say, it is what was wanted.

Indeed not.

Care to tell us who you think it is up to, and how strong the public desire for a second vote would have to be for you to tell them you want them to organise it?

How would you measure the opinion of the entire voting population? Other than another ref!...your argument goes round in circles.In/out ref 2 not happening.
