Brightness, I think you will find druids being allowed into Stonehenge has nothing to do with them "exercising their rights" but more to do with them exorcising their rites. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Also, the only thing to stop you touching Stonehenge is a foot high rope barrier. Or it was when I got thrown out for it. And the same with the great pyramid in Giza, foot high rope barrier. People travel right around the world to see these attractions. Do the authorities really think after going 12,000 miles to see the damn thing, a bit of rope will stop people. "Oh I don't think I can be bothered to step over that." I have never understood it. But I guess in Giza, all those guards with machine-guns are a bit of a deterrent. :evil:

The following fact is quite well known, but still interesting: If you write the first 6 Roman numerals, in order from largest to smallest, you get 666:

DCLXVI = 666.

Or perhaps MDCLXVI = 1666 ?

Always fancied going to see the pyramids - maybe one day.... ! I want to go to Cyprus and then get the ferry over to Egypt. Seeing as I am permanently skint, I can't see this happening for some time yet :( Last time we went to Stonehenge you had to pay admittance or just look through some metal grids outside :LOL: . Apparently, it is £5.90 per adult now :eek: - just to see some old stones :rolleyes: What a rip off....

Daylight robbery :eek: - I'll let you come and look at stones in my garden for £3.00 per adult, PLUS you can take as many as you want home with you for no extra charge :LOL: :LOL:
