At the end of the day, we are all, who we choose to be. No matter what qualifications we have, what background we come from, the most important details of how we conduct our lives are down to our own choice.

No matter what influences (wether nurture or nature), we are all responsible for our own actions. The most uneducated, deprived individual can act as an absolute gent. While there are those with every privilege available, that can act as total scum.

I don't believe in god, but we're not robotic automatons either. We all have consciousness and that gives us the free will to make our own choices. Anyone can choose to be a selfish thug, or a pilar of the community. Most choose to be something in between.
