The Tories have a new leader ...

Looks like Kami need to brush up her PM questions technique. Not unusual for a newbie in her and the PM's case.

An eg. She tried to get him to state when defence spending would reach 2.5%. Of course he wouldn't and just has to state they didn't achieve it - and then add that the last gov that achieved it was a Labour gov and then even more on defence budgeting.

Labour politicians statements about Trump cropped up. Not sure in Trump's case but politicians often slag off the opposition using all sorts of words and they know that. It's accepted. Trump actually does a lot of it.

US trade deal gets a mention. Of course attempts will be made but general view is that we are at the bottom of the list. Tariffs figure in why this cropped up.

Other than that very flat but no mention of the OBR business - news channels expected that to crop up. Will it in other sessions???

She also threw in a none scripted question.

Scripted answers that ignored the questions. Not sure its Kami who needed to brush up on her technique.

Starmer just had to answer in the usual way he does with his reasons. Which he did. As he is a legal person he has a bit of an advantage in situations like this and may even have had presentation training. So avoided - afraid not really.

Given Labour's military budget feelings - she knew there was no chance of an answer and then got egg on her face.

Farmers. She quoted the NFU but this area has been independently looked at and it's not as simple as they suggest. He also added that they are talking to the NFU.

He may have given her an opportunity to bring up the black hole as he mentioned it. Not taken. They are in a rabbit hole on that. There was one and they have a list to prove it and then comes what other spending options Labour chooses to put in it. Any they missed for instance. The OBR have accused the Tory of breaking the law. Maybe neither want to get too involved in this area.

At least she didn't do a Sunak rant.

There were also some queries from Labour MP's concerning several comments she has made.

Seems neither the Libs or Greens will congratulate Trump.

Badenough whined about scripted answers whilst reading from a script.

The stupidity of Tories is off the charts

Badenough is so stupid she whines about U.K. not spending 2.5% on defence…..then moans about Labour increasing taxes to pay for more govt spending. The stupidity of Tories is stupendous

The Tory grandees will not be best pleased by yesterday's "performance".

If she doesn't up her game soon, they'll be sharpening their knives again, and looking deep into the barrel for the next hopeless specimen............

I reckon you're not wrong.
