WTO?

Would WTO have the same Irish border problem?

Southern Ireland in the custom union as part of EU, Northern Ireland would be WTO and thus a 'third country'.

So EU will demand hard border where their custom union ends.

Vote has been delayed
Although I would admit that the word abort is more dramatic :)

"Sterling took a leg lower to hit its weakest level in 20 months on Tuesday as political uncertainties, which have increased dramatically over the past 24 hours after UK prime minister Theresa May delayed the parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal, keep the currency under pressure.
The pound fell 0.6 per cent to $1.2482, the lowest since April 12, 2017. It had earlier traded up by as much as 0.4 per cent to claw back some of Monday’s 1.3 per cent fall against the dollar.

The drop comes amid fresh reports that enough letters of no-confidence have been submitted to trigger a challenge to Mrs May’s leadership. "

I see.

So the markets think the potential loss of TM as leader is a bad thing :ROFLMAO:

The markets think that a total shambles and a disoriented, squabbling government is a bad thing.

Who can disagree?

Every time you think the Brexit Omnishambles can't get worse, it gets worse.

And the Brextremists are bidding to make it worse.

Even worse.

shambles and a disoriented, squabbling government

Squabbling? -you mean its being discussed. Would you not like it discussed?

Shambles? - how so, TM has negotiated more or less the only deal available, according to your 'only options available'

Disorientated? - how so? Did you think Brexit should be straightforward?

Hows Labours Jobs first Brexit? -oh thats right, cant be done, it cant be achieved, again according to your 'only options available'.

Squabbling? -you mean its being discussed.

ha ha ha

you think Jacob Rice-Pudd is "discussing" a rebellion to unseat his party leader.

you think Gove is "discussing" who to knife in the back next

you think Buffoon is "discussing" what lies to tell to trick his supporters

you think the Brextemists are "discussing" whether they hate their Prime Minister's treaty because it is not anti-Europe enough, or they hate it because it is too anti-Europe

you think Theresa's mercenaries, whom she bought at a billion quid for ten, are "discussing" whether to support the wishes of the people of NI, or their agreement, or their own narrow sectarian desires.

you think that Parliament is not a shambles when the only thing it can agree is that it doesn't have enough support to carry any of the available options, or any of the imaginary ones.

Did you think Brexit should be straightforward?
That's what quitters thought...
(along with others who didn't realise how complicated the relationship with the EU is ;))

The negotiations were going to be a walk in the park - "one of the easiest in human history" we were promised!

The EU would be desperate to do a deal with the UK according to them...

And the unicorns promised them as much cake as they could eat

Why don't you get your facts straight, a majority of the people of N.I. voted for the Whole of the UK to remain in the EU because that was the question on the ballot paper, they didn't vote for annexation by the EU.

Looks like we could be heading for a no deal, which is probably the best option.
Under a no deal the government can tell the EU to go whistle for their £36billion.
The term '''No Deal' is a perjorative coined by the remainers to undermine confidence in the economy.
A better term would be Clean break meaning a new start with no obligations on either side, for a start the government could bring back the Visa system for Europeans and abolish the CTA which would put the wind up politicians in the Irish Republic.

But a no Irish border is also enshrined in UK law...

So it's not annexation by the EU - it's the probability that the Island of Ireland becomes a reality at some point in the future!
