"Britain can decide to withdraw its notification to leave the EU without seeking permission of other remaining member states, according to advice to judges at the European Court of Justice that represents a significant success for anti-Brexit campaigners.

In an opinion on a landmark case that contradicts legal arguments made by Britain and other EU institutions, an advocate general to Europe’s highest court on Tuesday said that judges should allow for the unilateral revocation of the Article 50 exit clause, which was invoked by the UK in 2017.

The non-binding opinion comes a week after anti-Brexit campaigners, led by a group of Scottish MEPs, went to the court to argue for the UK’s right to cancel a two-year exit process. The views of advocates general are followed in the majority of rulings."

Of course, Parliament has the right to decide, or not to decide, if it will make such a decision, but it seems that Theresa is mistaken in saying that Britain has no right to do it. It's strange that our PM should be claiming our nation's hands are tied. Almost as if she wants to prevent the Will of the People from being heard or acted upon.

It's time we came to our senses and ended Brexit but used this is as an important lesson to look at the issues that caused this split in the country. Its time we healed as a nation.

Indeed.

But for that to happen millions of people need to realise that their communities and lives have been wrecked not by the EU, and not by immigrants, but by the Tories, and deliberately so.

I definetly disagree.Deliberately too.

So can you explain why the UK has become a two tiered economy with growth concentrating in urban areas and cities whilst rural areas and post Industrial areas have not seen the benefits that those living in or near urban areas have.

Tis all the fault of the EU as they attempt to undermine the UK

May be time to man the baracades

Democracy is at risk from the French and the Huns ;) all the rest don't amount to a bag of beans

With the exception of Austria

The EU and migrants have ruined this country what was wrong with L, S & D? what was wrong with pounds and ounces curvy bananas or high powered vacuum cleaners? we've been dictated to for far too long by crusty euro-dictators who elected themselves into positions of power paying themselves a small fortune so they could get off on telling other people how to live their lives It's disgusting! you mark my words we'll be better off out of this shoitehole we should tell that Barnier where to stick his "divorce" bill we should tell them we're f'ing off out of Europe, that we're not giving them any money and they can lump it. See how he takes that
Honestly we helped them win the war and this is how they repay us?
And as for the Tories, don't get me started....their good, solid upstanding politicians. I tell you what everyone says they're ruining this country I say no! what's ruined this country is the fact that labour have been in power various times over the years and that has put a right royal spanner in the works if we'd had a clean run, things would be well-sorted by now without interfering loony lefties and their crazy ideas about social care

To late now, the Genie is out of the bottle there is no turning back.

Bit of a coincidence the timing of this "Landmark case" a week before a critical vote on TM's brexit plan in the commons.
This sort of psychological manipulation of the public is the sort of thing that the Russians are usually accused of..

Yep something dodgy going on

Those who oppose the democratic will of the people will stop at nothing

They cannot be trusted ;)

Example Ban all sheds ;).

Yes exactly ;)
