Moved into a new house and can't work out how to use these/ what they're called? Yellow light and red light

They control the heating and I managed to get it on by pressing the top box button a few times but would like to know how to set it/ what each light does etc?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but first time homeowner and not seen this style before

Thanks

The bottom box is a Honeywell single channel programmer - this sets the time slots that your heating will come on.

To set the temperature within these periods, there is a separate thermostat - and in your case, that appears to be wireless.

The top box is the RF receiver (possibly Honeywell HC60NG) for the battery operated thermostat, that may look something like one of these...

Hopefully, the previous owners have left this in an accessible place!

By pressing the button on the receiver, you are manually bypassing any signals from the RF thermostat - as long as the programmer is set to 'cont'inuous, the heating will turn on.

Possibly an appropriate manual attached!
