In further developments, one may have managed to look behind one of the two gang light switches...
I thought these switches were either Dorman Smith (DS) or Crabtree, turns out they are Britmac branded.
It's such a shame they don't make switches like this anymore. I'd buy a box full in a heartbeat. Such a lovely weighted switch action and a proper mechanical 'clunk', nothing like a modern switch.
No earth to speak of anywhere though, not even a snipped off CPC - not that one would expect that sort of behaviour in a commercial environment.
