We have already passed many of the end dates predicted by the various eco doom mongers. For instance, when I was at school a certain teacher in a certain class told us that the earth's oil would run out at about the year 2000.

Earths core is cooling at a faster rate than thought so looks like woolie socks to stop our feet getting cold, just no happy medium

If Global warming is a hoax, and we do nothing, then all is fine.

If Global warming is a hoax, and we start to clean up the planet, then everyone benefits from a much cleaner planet.

If Global warning is real, and we start to clean up the planet, then everyone benefits from a much cleaner planet.

If Global warming is real and we do nothing, then that is disastrous.

Therefore cleaning up the Planet is a no brainer, hoax or not.

An Indian chap has combined the joy of jogging and decided to pick up litter on his way: 'Plogging' is his thing. He plogs around the highways and byways of his local area picking up litter - Wombling, as we called it, way back when Exxon began their analysis of Climate Change. Fifty years ago. In that time global temperatures have demonstrably risen year after year til we finally reached a 40 degree high last year with spontaneous wildfires flaring up across the country. It won't be any better this year and i wonder how much progress could've been made if Exxon had chosen to publish the data rather than protect their interests and profits by denying the evidence.
Hard to say now, but whether or not Industrial activity is the sole contributor to global warming it surely makes sense to change the way we live and clean up our environment.

Global warming deniers never explain why they don't want to clean up the Planet.

I've never come across a global warming denier, nor anyone who wouldn't rather live in a cleaner environment. Who are they and where do you find these people?

Going back to the original post, I find it hard to believe that they predicted it, the way claimed. Half of the innovations that have been used to model climate, improve emissions, fuel economy etc. etc. even the rise of EVs, population growth etc. didn't even exist. In the 1970s computers took punch cards, Large GPU grids hadn't even been thought of. The conclusion are denied by those that commissioned the report. I can't help feeling that this is climate change PR, which gives the deniers fuel.

Trouble is, it's a bit complicated and technical.
The dumb fuks of the world think they're being clever by finding one tiny piece of info which goes along with their life-script of being a dumb fuk so they spout it out.
It's poo.
It's on a level with saying smoking is fine because your grannie spluttered on until she was 97.

It's a psychological problem which afflicts dumb people, who are just too dumb to see it.
But they're arrogant enough, to think that their shyte is simply the other side of the argument.

There's a large number of intelligent, inquiring, analytical people who find out, question and understand all they can, and educate themselves about what's really going on, and are supicious and skeptical as hell, who all come to much the same conclusions as each other.
You know, the ones the squalid little dumb fuks refer to as sheep.

Just read through this thread, you will find some.

Go back rather a long time ago now and there were warnings that deforistation will change weather patterns. I think that is a fair assumption. Also deforestation of europe is thought to have had it's effects. Some may say we haven't but forget that much of europe would be covered in trees if left to return to it's natural state. Most done long ago so hard to be 100% certain about results.

The strongest argument is that temperature has changed and CO2 levels have as well. The 2 relate and the effect is predictable. Temperature differences drive the gulf stream and the wind. They try to equalise the entire temperature. Increase the differences and that gets more severe. The Gulf Stream needs the pole to cold and the equator to be hotter.

I have :) Indirectly. The editor of New Scientist. He was lumped in with the Global Warming Swindle lot. A bit unfair in my view but he did publish more obscure research that related in some ways. He didn't publish one of their main arguments which looked at all sources of CO2 and said what we added was a pittance. My thoughts on that was ok this is happening and always has been so how come levels haven't increased? There must be some sort of cycle and something has upset it - us.

You are right...but not to worry.......

"Earth's core is cooling at rates faster than previously thought, which could speed the planet's inevitable march toward uninhabitability millions or billions of years from now, researchers said this week."

We have never enjoyed a stable climate.
So what?
