Customised Bedford CF van...
(Never been a Ford man...)
Never did get one.

Later had a moggie van (1300 tuned sprigit engine, uprated gearbox & back axle, lined/trimmed interior) in Post Office red - used to surprise an awful lot of crapi drivers...

oh I wanted a custom van too - I think it was watching the A-team :D

Kept in my place.
Somehow I doubt that!! :)

I wanted a TR4. (Or a TR7, as was my family nickname) Still do, still can't afford one!

Simpler tho, I did always want a whole jar of traffic lollypops. Bought myself a jar finally in my 30's from the cash and carry, ate about 2 and ended up throwing the rest out when they melted. Completely lost it's appeal funnily enough :)

I wanted a Red Spitfire Mk 2 like the one in the car showroom round the corner from where I lived.

Never bought it......

It was a Mk 4 in red from the same showroom that I bought when my trusted Triump Herald convertable gave up the ghost.

A Cortina Lotus MK2 and a MK1 RS2000. Finally built my own (restoration projects - RS was a replica though) when I was well into my 40's. Bloody gorgeous they were. Real eye catchers wherever I went. Six page feature spread in Classic Ford for the Lotus. Trouble was, wifey doesn't like attention drawn to her so refused to go out in them which left me hooning around the streets on my own. Soon got fed up of that and sold 'em. Got more pleasure restoring them than driving them!

Saw the RS at a show last year, six years after I sold it. The bloke hadn't done anything to it and won second prize!

For anyone that's interested

I always wanted a TR7. Ever since launch, I spent ages in school drawing them and similar designs.

Then in 1979, my Uncle got an R plate TR7 in BRG and he invited me out in it.

I still remember thundering round the lanes near Little Petherick & Padstow at speeds well beyond 70mph...

A Pontiac Firebird or Corvette Stingray. You have to have 8 cylinders.
I always wanted a bigger d!ck when I was young and now I could afford the operation I've got nothing to do with it....

I always wanted my own swimming pool in my back garden. Now got one. :)
Also wanted a big shed with hand and power tools where I could do woodwork. Now got one. :)
A job with variety and a decent wage. Now got one. :)
A lady who loves me for being me and not someone she wants to fashion into what she wants. Now got one. :)

All in all I am now pretty content with my life. :)
