I have fell out of the habit of spending money on myself: I can't remember the attraction of it, TBH.

My income comes in chunks rather than a regular pay check, I always treat myself when I get a "chunk" otherwise its just numbers. Its only when you buy stuff do you appreciate what money can do for you.

Speak for yourself. Age allows you to do non-sensible things and others can say "ah bless him.... its his age you know"

My eldest went skiing with the school and then went to Barcelona in the late spring.
My youngest went skiing to Italy with the school and is off to Germany in the summer. He's missed out on skiing next season because the plonka never brought the letter home in time.
My wife has been skiing for the last three seasons also and went to Amsterdam for her 40th.
All paid for by me.
We go on at least two, sometimes three family holidays a year. One main one in the summer hol's and camping or visiting her sis in Surrey. My family does ok out of the building company too thanks.
Are you still sore because I proved you wrong about my social life EFLI or are you smarting from a more recent pasting?
My wife tells me my youngest has managed to get on the Italy skiing trip next season. Stick that in yer craw EFLI.

I fit in around their hol's, not the other way around. We are planning on going together at Christmas but snow-fall is sketchy at best around this time. Once they have the school trips done and dusted we will go together, promise.
