That's what has been going on the whole time we've been in the EU.

European elections have been held for years and yet people used to ignore them, just say that they were not important. The MEPs are / were available to answer questions from the public, raise concerns. This is the political process. Until the Brexit vote, nobody really complained about the EU, apart from some wacky fake stories about bananas or Brussels creating silly laws.

Now everybody talks like an expert, and yet, nobody can really say why it is a good idea to leave ... and when asked why they voted even though it looks like it will hurt the economy and the country, the answer is always that they knew it would be bad, but it will be worth it in the end. But, still no actual statement on what exactly will get better.

It's just like any civil war really - nobody really knows what they are fighting for but will fight to the end anyway. Luckily we have social media and not cold steel to argue with.

If these employers are taking on poor staff, is there no quality control or PM taking ownership? Somehow that is the fault it the EU.

A friend mentioned in the US an ardent Trump supporter removed the sign on his lawn. His 10yr old son asked him why are you suporting a racist, and with that all his support melted away.
