This join has started leaking again

UPDATE - Replaced the Tee with another JG one and guess what…the plastic pipe had no inserts! It wasn’t the leaking side of the pipe though. I couldn’t see a manufacturers name on the pipe and assumed it would be JG. I brought the JG inserts and the first bit went through but I struggled to push it past the first rubber ring on the insert.
Ashamedly, I then put the pipe into the tee without an insert, like it was before. Nothing is leaking yet.

I suspect none of the other plastic pipes have an insert.

OP,
Thanks for the pic but I'm afraid that it only shows more or less the same tangle of pipes.

All pipework, plastic or Cu, should be clipped & under no forced mechanical pressure.
Excess flux at sweated fittings should be wiped off after the joint is soldered.

Ref the inserts etc - why not take the fitting in question to the plumbing suppliers also show them what you are showing us (pics & post) & they should provide the right stuff?

the super seal inserts can be a little tight to get in - I wet them first - though it does look like it could be JG pipe by that writing on the side of it. Either that or just get the standard inserts.

Honestly, don't take the chance, the fitting will hold onto the pipe without inserts but if it deforms at all (hot water and pipe softens etc) then it could blow off .... if it's mains pressure then that's a bit of a disaster.

As above, they can be tight when you get to the o ring, I wet them as well. Definitely try and get the inserts fitted, but it begs the question, how many more are missing?

In my experience - 15mm JG plain inserts (not superseal) will fit HEP pipe with a little persuasion, I use the end of my adjustable to 'knock' it in. HEP SS inserts fit JG but are loose. All makes of fitting and pipe are all meant to be a standard 15mm otherwise they wouldn't all be able to accept standard 15mm copper so the pipe and fittings should, in theory, be interchangeable

JG fittings are easily demountable and if the insert is left in the fitting then just unscrew and take out, dead easy. HEP fittings just don't like letting go of their inserts and 1 in ever 3rd insert will be left in the fitting, making the fitting unusable. I have been able to get the grab ring out of the fitting before now and then get the insert out but most of the time the fitting in then destroyed.

I have emailed Wavin on several occasions about this and even sent a few fittings in but they dispute that it's an issue and say it must be my fault and the way I'm using the tool :ROFLMAO: , they say that's why there are barbs on the insert so they don't get pulled out of the pipe, yeah good luck with that!!

I did that about exactly the same thing about ten or twelve years ago. Eventually, I got an admission from them, agreeing with me. It also said that the fittings were being redesigned.
It took a long time to get a reply out of them. I got it by e-mailing every Wavin email address I could find on the internet.
They also sent me a bag of fittings as a good will gesture.
Since then the only thing I have used any of their fittings on, has been copper, as there's no need for an insert, making it easier to separate them.

Years ago, I had a problem with the early Festool dust extraction hoses that had the power supply running though the hose. The electrical connections on the plugs would unwind, leaving the live cable exposed. I contacted Minden- the UK distributor. They fobbed me off. I then emailed every single Festool global contact on their site. I got an email from Festool Austria saying "no this not possible, we use a certain torque". Most others didn't bother replying. I did however get an email from the USA saying that they didn't sell the hoses but that they would bounce it back over to Germany. Weeks later, nothing doing. I rang trading standards. They walked in to Minden and confirmed that they could unwind the plug connector by hand. Festool removed the product and gave me a regular vacuum hose as a "gesture of goodwill"- which is shorthand for "we sold you a dangerous product and have now given you a safe one".

Clean cut smooth copper pipe and don't mix and match brands.

If its not that simple then use alternatives
