there are 25% more teaching vacancies this year than last as teachers quit there jobs in droves , driven away by gobsh## kids daft bureaucracy and crap pay the number of kids caught with knifes has shot up by 700% since2006, 434,000 expulsion and suspension for persistent disruption and serious assaults no wonder kids would rather give you a happy slap, that listen to us preach ,they get away with too much , bring back the cane, and have a three strike,s and your jailed rule

Discipline is the biggest problem in schools to-day, my daughter has been teaching for a year but she is thinking of packing it in because of the behavior of the pupils.
The cane is an efficient and cost effective way of maintaining discipline, since it has been abolished schools have gone down the tubes.
 
joe there is a differance between the cane and the birch , when we were kids schools cane and teacher got respect, birch didnot stop tugs and robbers :cry: but i may change my mind with the birch if we could get it to work and prove it works and to what degree do we dish it out
 
my ma, and im sure most parents of those on here were happy that if we did something wrong at school you deserved a slap, cane etc.

blimey most of my old teachers would either be dead or jailed now after what they did to us, mind one from infants school and his closeness to some was a bit weird even in those days...

but the point is the sharons / tracies / trevors nowadays would be fuming if their little chav got hit at school and would cause a lot of sh1te for anyone and everyone just to get some compo.

so the problem is the chavvy parents, if thier little un gets in trouble send some big geezers round to sort em out. problem solved!

Some very bad parenting also and parents with no respect for teachers nowadays.
During my schooldays you didn't come home and tell mummy you were caned.
OOh no. A second telling off or cuffing from papa was then on the cards and praise for the teacher.
