if it got hot enough to weld the brass pin to the contacts, or it seized, it will be damaged.

If you had to pry the plug out, you most certainly will have damaged something inside, and possibly even damaged the terminals. Get it replaced.

If you post that photo, we might suggest where to get a matching one.

(or better, if it is heavy on style and light on quality)
